Kris Birchard, Past Chair

Kristan (Kris) is the Past Chair for Perley Health's Board of Directors. Kris has been the Owner of Eagle Insurance Agency Limited since 1991 and has over four decades of experience in the financial services industry. The firm provides comprehensive financial planning to clients.

Kris is a graduate from Carleton University of 1972 and has been very active as a volunteer in the industry. He is Past National Chair of Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, and Past National Chair of the Institute for Advanced Financial Education. Kris also served for 10 years on the Board of Christie Lake Kids, three as President.  He is the Past Chair of the Tawingo Alumni Association, a residential camp for children in the Muskoka Region.

Kris was the inaugural recipient of the J.G. Taylor Award, a national award recognizing outstanding contributions to both industry and community. In addition, the Ottawa Chapter of Advocis awarded him the John Goebbels Award of Merit. He was the founding Chair of the United Way, endowment fund and has received their prestigious Community Builder Award.
