Heather Garnett brings over 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare, specializing in nursing and health administration. Currently serving as the Vice President of Nursing Services at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing nursing operations and enhancing patient care across the organization. Heather is deeply committed to improving mental health services and patient outcomes through innovative strategies and compassionate leadership.
Before joining The Royal Ottawa, Heather held various senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Patient/Resident Services and Chief Nursing Executive at Almonte General Hospital. In these roles, she was instrumental in driving quality care initiatives, managing clinical services, and leading teams to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
Heather holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Ottawa, underlining her dedication to continuous learning and professional development. Her background in nursing is complemented by her involvement with Accreditation Canada, where she contributes to the assessment and improvement of healthcare quality across organizations.
