Christine Desloges, Board Member
After retiring from the Federal Government as an Assistant Deputy Minister in 2015, Christine has been actively involved in voluntary community-based, client-centric health care and senior well-being services in Ottawa (Queensway Carleton Hospital and National Association of Federal Retirees, Ottawa Branch) and Toronto ( Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care), building up a repertoire of experiences in various aspects of governance along the continuum of health care.
Serving as a multi-lingual volunteer in various community service organizations, Christine has developed hands-on experience in strategic planning and oversight in corporate governance, service quality, and safety, audit and finance, regulatory compliance, financial/public reporting; organizational transformation, change leadership and consensus building; as well as technology innovation and resource optimization.
With her proven track record and experiences of positively engaging cross-cultural, inter-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary stakeholders, she looks forward to contributing constructively to Perley Health's development and implementation of its client-centric service delivery models.
During her 35 years of Federal public service, Christine has held leadership positions as ADM and CEO of Passport Canada; Canada's first Resident Ambassador to Vietnam; Executive Director of Canada's Government-on-Line client-centric service delivery initiative as well as Chief Strategist (Transformation) at Treasury Board Secretariat. She is a recipient of the Canadian Government's Head of Public Service Award of Excellence.
Christine holds the ICD.D designation with the Institute of Corporate Directors; an MA in International Affairs (Carleton University) and a BA in Spanish Studies (St Thomas University). She has also studied Spanish (Universidad Menendez Pelayo, Spain) and Mandarin Chinese (Singapore National University).
