Anthony Mar, Board Member
Anthony is the founder and former 15-year CEO of Cliniconex and currently serves as vice-chair of the board. the company provides a healthcare information technology application that automates communication transparency between staff and with patients, residents, and families. Anthony built the organization from the ground up, leading a team of 25 employees across engineering, support, marketing, sales, human resources, and finance. Under his leadership, Cliniconex secured funding from BDC, Wesley Clover, and Calian Group to develop partnerships with PointClickCare, Accuro/Shoppers Drug Mart, and TELUS. This expanded the customer base to over 1,000 clinics and 3,000 senior care facilities across North America and made Cliniconex a profitable venture. Anthony has expertise in strategy, market development, partnerships, organizational development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
He holds an engineering degree from Queen's University, an MBA from Ivey Business School, and is a candidate for the ICD.D at Rotman Business School.
Anthony has been serving on Perley Health committees since 2020 and joined the Perley Health board in 2022. He is currently a member of the audit/risk and quality committees. Additionally, he has served as a Cliniconex board member since 2016.
As a proud father of a child with a disability, Anthony is dedicated to serving that community as a volunteer, parent, fundraiser, and donor for the Special Olympics since 2014.
In his spare time, Anthony enjoys biking, performance driving, researching the diaspora experience, and is a passionate foodie.
