Summary of Duties:
Perley Health Foundation has successfully completed a $10M capital campaign, transforming care for seniors and Veterans while establishing the Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care. Building on this momentum, we are preparing for our next transformational capital project—one that will expand much-needed capacity and further enrich the quality of life for residents and community members.
To drive this ambitious initiative, we are seeking a Capital Campaign Manager, a dynamic and strategic leader who will oversee and execute all aspects of the largest capital campaign in the Foundation's history to support the next phase of Perley Health's growth. The Foundation is now entering the pre-campaign phase.
The role is uniquely focused on all aspects of campaign management, cultivating and maintaining relationships with major donors and prospects, community leaders and volunteers.
In addition to executing the campaign plan, the manager will serve as the primary liaison for networking and volunteer engagement – ensuring that every stakeholder feels valued and connected to the campaign's success.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- In consultation with the Executive Director and Chief Development Officer, implement and manage a comprehensive campaign plan with clear goals, timelines, and benchmarks.
- Plan for and engage the people and resources required for a successful campaign, including campaign consultants, leadership volunteers, and internal and external partners.
- Oversee all campaign logistics, including pipeline management, donor tracking and data entry, solicitation materials, volunteer support, and progress reporting.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership, campaign cabinet, and campaign council to ensure alignment with organizational and campaign goals.
- Lead campaign-related activities such as donor tours, cultivation events, and public relations efforts.
- Work closely with the Campaign Cabinet and senior leadership to align fundraising efforts with strategic priorities.
- Manage the campaign budget and provide performance reports to the Executive Director and Chief Development Officer and Campaign Cabinet as required. Provide annual campaign budgets and reports as requested by the Executive Director.
Major Gifts & Relationship Building
- Research, identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a personal pipeline of major gift prospects and donors
- Actively network with cabinet members, community leaders and local influencers to broaden campaign support.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance campaign visibility and credibility.
- Organize and attend high-impact networking events, donor receptions and public relations initiatives that strengthen community ties.
Volunteer Management
- Mobilize volunteers; recruit, train, and manage a dynamic team of volunteers dedicated to campaign activities.
- Empower and Support volunteers by providing clear guidance and ongoing support with regular feedback to volunteer leaders to ensure they effectively represent the campaign and advance the objectives.
- Utilize the diverse skill sets and connections of the volunteers to extend the campaign's reach and drive grassroots engagement.
- Develop recognition and communication strategies that celebrate volunteer contributions and sustain their commitment over the long term.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship
- Create compelling cultivation opportunities, proposals and impact reports that highlight the transformational benefits of donor support.
- Ensure meticulous donor tracking and engagement through CRM systems (Raiser's Edge preferred).
- Identify areas of risk and prepare mitigation recommendations.
- Ensure all fundraising activities comply with fundraising best practices and ethical standards.
- Manage a personal prospect pipeline with individual major donors and corporate partners.
- Translate donor preferences into meaningful recognition opportunities.
Collaboration & Communication
- Oversee the preparation of the campaign case and communications including proposals, gift and partnership agreements and stewardship materials.
- Provide clear, regular updates to leadership, donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Development Manager and the Director of Communications to develop and manage the Perley Health brand, maintaining a consistent and engaging message, tone and visual identity across all communications.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for board meetings, campaign cabinet, and community stakeholders.
- Manage and lift up the campaign cabinet, including training, organizing, and leading committee meetings, pipeline management and assignments.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in fundraising with a proven track record in managing major gifts or capital campaigns
- University degree in fundraising, communications, business administration, or a related field.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation considered an asset.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking and project management abilities, with a results-driven mindset. Demonstrated success in project management complimented by exemplary interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills with proven ability to engage high net-worth donors, corporate partners, and others involved in achieving campaign goals.
- Demonstrated experience in volunteer management, including recruiting, training, and leading teams of volunteers in a non-profit or fundraising environment.
- Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal, capable of crafting compelling messages and delivering engaging presentations.
- Technological fluency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Raiser's Edge donor database
- Understanding of the senior care, long term care, or healthcare sector is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.
- Passion for advancing care for seniors and Veterans, aligning with Perley Health's mission.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Based out of a typical office environment, however local travel is required with personal vehicle. This position is required to work evenings and weekends from time to time. This is a full-time position with health benefits and a competitive pension plan.
