Adult Day Program at Perley Health

The Adult Day Program closed on Monday, April 14 and will re-open at a new location on April 22.
Effective Tuesday, April 22, the Day Program will be relocating to Respite House at Perley Health.

- There are dedicated parking spots in front of the entrance to Respite House.
This move will consolidate Carefor's community support services in one convenient location, as the overnight stay respite program will continue to operate at Respite House.
We understand that this new location may take some time for our community to adapt. This announcement, supported by clear signage will be prominently displayed to guide individuals. Staff are always available to provide direction and support as well.
We extend our sincere thanks to team from Carefor for their ongoing partnership and commitment to meet the needs of our community, including clients living with dementia and their caregivers.

The Adult Day Program at Perley Health
The Adult Day Program at Perley Health is open to seniors 55 years and older living with early to moderate stage Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. Clients come to the program from their own homes to enjoy a day of stress-free socialization and fun while family caregivers have a few hours off.
The program closed at the start of the pandemic, in accordance with the Ontario government directive and re-opened July 2021 as a pilot project in the Guest House. On April 27, 2022, the program returned to its location in the main building of Perley Health.
A typical day includes:
- Social Time
- Activities like games, handicrafts and gardening
- Exercise program
- 3-course lunch
- Occasional outings around the National Capital Region
Program Information:
- The Day Program access is through the Main Entrance of Perley Health.
- This daytime program operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
- The program is closed Wednesday.
- All Perley Health protocols and testing requirements must be followed.
