Full-Time; Independent Contract Position 

Reporting to the Director, Support Services, the Hairstylist at Perley Health will provide exceptional hair services to clientele which include our residents, tenants of Assisted Living Apartments, and staff.

The ideal candidate will be skilled and passionate, with a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and appearance of our clients. This role requires the ability to manage the booking process independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide a full range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling for residents, tenants, and staff.
• Conduct thorough consultations to understand client needs and preferences, offering expert advice to achieve desired results.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Independently manage the booking process, including scheduling appointments and handling client inquiries.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
• Stay updated on the latest hair trends and techniques to offer innovative and contemporary services.
• Work collaboratively with team members to foster a welcoming and supportive environment.

Education & Skill Requirements:

• Red Seal Certification as a Hairstylist through the Ontario College of Trades.
• Stay current with any continuing education or renewal requirements set by the Ontario College of Trades to maintain your certification.
• Proficiency in cutting, coloring, and styling a wide range of hair types and textures, tailored to individual client needs.
• Strong ability to listen to and understand client preferences, offering professional advice to achieve desired outcomes.
• Competence in independently managing appointment bookings and scheduling, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Knowledge of and adherence to hygiene and safety regulations within a salon environment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and deliver a positive, personalized experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hairstylist with a proven track record of delivering high-quality hair services.

Schedule:

• Full-Time schedule; can include weekends
